Brainjuice is an Atmospheric Progressive Metal band whose compositions go beyond Music.

The band was born in 2003 in Palencia, a small city of Spain. Founded by Óliver del Barrio (voice and bass) and Santiago Mancho (drums), the formation was completed with the incorporation of Lucio González (keyboards), Rubén Carreño (guitar) and Luisma Gómez (voice and keyboards).

On December 2004 the band makes its debut with a demo “12,56636”, composed of eight tracks. It is well accepted by music press, granting the band several interviews on the radio and press. The same year Brainjuice wins their first prize as best national demo, given by the official website of the magazine Rock Zone, Zona-Zero.

In 2005 the song "Hermético" is incorporated to the soundtrack of the short "No conoce los colores de la vida". During that year, a first videoclip is shot by Agustín Puche Puche for the song called “Pi”.

On May 2006 Brainjuice edits with Rompiendo Records its first LP, called “Æquilibrium”. A tracklist of ten songs recorded on the studios Sonido XXI and produced by Brainjuice and Alberto García. The master recording was in charge of Juan A. Hidalgo, from Mastertips.

On February 2007 Brainjuice signs up with record company Gor Diskak for the distribution of “Æquilibrium”. The same year, on May, an acoustic version of “La Generación Del Dolor Opaco” is uploaded on the Internet for its free distribution, a song recorded, mixed and produced by Jorge Calderón from KLD Studio.

On January 2008 the “Æquilibrium” tour finishes. Santiago Mancho leaves the band at that moment and Marcos Linares joins it as a drummer. After this, Brainjuice starts composing its next album.

After two long years of creation, on May 2010 the band get into studio again for the recording of “El Abismo Reflejado En Ti”, a double album made of thirteen tracks, produced by Brainjuice and Jorge Calderón. The recording is made on KLD Studio and CANAL-24. The master recorded is made by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Paradise Lost, James Labrie, etc.) in Fascination Street Studios (Sweden).

After having finished the process, Luisma Gómez and Marcos Linares leave the band and the drummer Félix Sesmero joins it.

Nowadays Brainjuice is launching on tour its new studio album “El Abismo Reflejado En Ti”.
